Entrusting Sarah Burton with the second dress of her big day, Kate left Clarence House with her handsome groom, ready to start their new life together with their closest friends and family in private.
Her strapless gown again featured a sweetheart neckline, with a diamante girdle cinching in the now famous wasp waist.
Meanwhile, Prince William was dapper in a black tuxedo, looking more at ease now the formal proceedings were over.
The newlyweds were accompanied by Charles and Camilla, who was sporting a glamorous lavender number, with a silhouette that echoed Kate's own gown.
