Royal Wedding: A glimpse into the pomp and pageantry ahead

27 APRIL 2011

As the clock ticks down to the fairytale wedding about to take over London, those involved in the regal procession have little time left to make sure everything goes off without a hitch.

Gathering as early as 2 in the morning for a 4:50am rehearsal over a thousand soldiers, sailors, and airmen took to the empty city streets for a trial run that went as smooth as silk.

Carriages also took part in the full-scale procession to Westminster Abbey, along with two royal fleet cars.
