Elie Saab: the designer behind the weddings' gorgeous gowns

It was one of the most anticipated events of the royal wedding and the moment that Princess Stephanie revealed her stunning wedding gown did not disappoint.

The 28-year-old chose a stunning Elie Saab haute couture dress for the ceremony that saw her marry Luxembourg's Grand Ducal heir, Prince Guillaume.

The Lebanese designer created an ivory, lace gown, embroidered with silver thread leaves, three-quarter length sleeves and an ivory silk tulle veil.

Stephanie kept her veil in place with a traditional Lannoy family tiara that had previously been worn by her sisters and sisters-in-law on their wedding days.

But the Princess' dress was not the only Saab creation to be worn across the wedding's two-day celebrations.

For Friday's gala dinner Stephanie chose a green lace dress which was adorned with sequins, and a number of her guests followed suit.

Princess Margaretha of Lichtenstein wore a cherry coloured boat neck gown with detailed embroidery from Elie's Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

Sporting a full-length forest green dress Princess Astrid of Belgium looked dazzling, as did Princess Clotilde of Savoy, who wore gowns by the well-known label to both the gala dinner and the ceremony.
