Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has called off her short-term romance with Our Girl actor Luke Pasqualino after a few months of dating. Sources close to the singer claim their relationship ended as there was just "no spark" between the pair.

"In order to commit to someone at this busy time - she'd have to be really into them," an insider told MailOnline. "It's a big commitment to date someone whilst you're constantly on the road - it's hard - and Perrie just wasn't really feeling things with Luke."

They continued: "There wasn't that spark between them, so she's told him there won't be any romance between them moving forward. Perrie went on a few dates with Luke over the last few months - it wasn't serious but they were getting to know one another."

Perrie Edwards has ended her short-term romance with Our Girl actor Luke Pasqualino

Perrie, 23, and Luke, 26, were spotted on their first date back in August, they were later seen enjoying a night at London's West End before hitting the social scene at upmarket bar Mahiki.

Over the past few weeks, the pop star - who found fame on The X Factor in 2011 - and her Little Mix bandmates have been busy promoting their forthcoming fourth album and new single, Shout Out To My Ex - believed to be aimed at Perrie's ex Zayn Malik.

Zayn and Perrie began dating in early 2012, and got engaged in August 2013 when the One Direction heartthrob popped the question. The couple, who often shared sweet selfies together on social media, shocked fans in August 2015 when it was revealed that they had chosen to end their engagement.

The singer recently opened up about her heartbreak in the band's new book, Little Mix: Our World. "After I split with my partner, out of the blue, I had nowhere to go, which was incredibly stressful. For a while I had no idea what to do," she wrote.

"I thought about renting but I've got dogs and cats, so that was no good. At the time we were promoting Black Magic, and while I was in America, things really hit me and I panicked. I realised I was homeless. I was crying every day, dreading coming back."
